Triumph - Band San Diego Concert reviews
Let Down
I have never been so disappointed in a concert as I was at the recent Triumph - Band show. His music is incredibly strong and powerful; he is such an artist. We expected to hear many of his wonderful tunes spanning his entire career, but he only performed songs from his 2 recent albums, which I personally don't know well or enjoy as much as his original work. While I understand his preference for playing new music, I believe that for all of us fans who have supported him throughout his career, he should have revisited his more popular tunes that we came to hear. There was a clear lack of engagement between him and the audience, and it was evident that the crowd was equally disengaged. I don't think I will attend another one of his shows; instead, I will enjoy his music at home on my stereo.
